Michael James Runyon

Hello...my name is, well, Michael Runyon, as if the graphics and domain name weren't hint enough to that particular fact. Despite all attempts at humor, this little corner of webspace serves the purpose of me publishing little pieces of my life here and there. Whether or not 1 or 1000 people will read this sentence today matters little when the rationale of the site is learn, and to think. Also, this project has served as a small outlet of my professional and hobbyist skills.

A Little About Me
I currently attend Huntington University in Huntington, IN. A small, private Christian college of about 1200 students. I am studying Computer Science in a less than traditional program, being that there are not that many students studying my particular major at this university. However, the core methodology of teaching one how to think, rather than how to use particular resources is still present, and I'm kind of in it for the degree anyway. As of this writing, I am a juniorSENIOR!!. I hope to graduate in 7 semesters total, 6 at this school (I transferred in from LeTourneau University after one semester).

I am 22 years old, happily engaged, and looking forward to getting married in the summer of 2007. (Check out the wedding page, coming soon!)

I am a computer programmer both by hobby, major, and profession. I enjoy all types of computer technology, be it hardware, software, games, etc. I tend to specialize in web coding/scripting (ColdFusion/PHP/Javascript), software engineering (Java/.NET/C++), and OpenGL game programming.

I am currently employed by Internet Business Solutions of South Bend, IN, as a programmer/systems administrator. Those are glamorous titles, I just tend to do a little bit of everything. This is both because of my insatiable need for new information and experiences, and the need for so many holes to be filled in technology infrastructure of our small business. I very much enjoy the working environment of a small office, and the flexibility that the hours and current administration methods provides an extremely creative environment.

Leah Hernandez

This is my girlfriend fiancee', Leah Hernandez. She's 20, currently attends Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. She's got 1 more semester there and then a semester of student teaching. We got engaged on December 19, 2005. Our plans thus far are to be wed in the Summer of 2007, most likely the latter saturdays in June. Click here to read more about our wedding plans.
